Monday, Monday

Accomplished today what I needed to and it was good. We are progressing through memorizing Matt 5:1-16 and as usual, the kids are doing better than I am. I started reading again from the "Lord Change My Attitude" book and I am glad - its been something I've needed to do here for a while. But I am so frustrated!

Stupid asthma. The rescue inhaler is catching up with me and giving me heartburn like nothing I've had before. It dictates too much of my life and I've had it. The steroids make me retain water, so my goal weight dangles precipitously in front of me just out of reach thanks to 'treatment'. Still, even with the extra 'roids, I'm too short of breath to run right now... shoot, I'm too short of breath to talk in an animated fashion! I'm going to lose what little I've gained in my exercise routine and those little four pounds will continue to dangle elusively in front of me. I asked Nate what he thought as to how long this might take to pass and he says as long as I am not resting like I should, it will take longer.

Great.

I know coming on the heels of my other blogs, I'm sure I'll look back at this and be mortified at my pity party. But that's just what I'm feeling right now. I am disappointed for something as lame as this and struggling with discouragement.

BUT GOD... True, tomorrow is a new day and I am still a new creation... and I'll get passed this, maybe with a new appreciation of taking better care of my chronic illness? God is still so good to me and I'll wait and see what He has for me tomorrow.
